Tip: how to make a parchment paper round

When you bake a cake, you usually have to butter and flour the pan. And that’s ok.

Taking the cake out in one piece might be a bit difficult in the end, so placing parchment paper on the bottom of the pan is advisable.

But is there a way to cut a nice parchment paper round without having to fold corners or randomly tear sides? Of course there is!

It is actually very easy, quick and precise! Maybe for some this might sound like a ridiculously useless post, but when I first learnt this method it was a true revelation to me! 🙂

Just follow the simple steps here below…

Directions

1
Cut a square of parchment paper which is at least as big as your pan
2
Fold it in two
3
Then again in two on the other side
4
Fold again in two to obtain a triangle
5
Fold the triangle in two
6
Compare the length of the triangle with the radius of the pan...
7
...and cut accordingly
8
Unfold and... voilà! Your parchment paper round is ready!
