Pastry World Cup 2013

Last Sunday, 18 teams from all over the world met in Lyon, France, for the Pastry World Cup, probably the most important competition in the field. Becoming a world champion is MASSIVE: it is a unique opportunity to become worldwide known (and gives you the right to add “Pastry World Champion” after your name!). 🙂

The new 2013 World Champion is France (oh really? How original!), with team formed by Quentin Bailly, Mathieu Blandin et Joffrey Lafontaine; silver medal for Japan and bronze for Italy (yay!). I really liked the “motors” theme of the French team, but every team was very creative.

I tried to find on the web the nicest pics and the most original ideas (in my opinion) by the different teams, so here they are! 🙂

WELCOME

Hi, my name is Rob, I work in IT but I love baking and I also got a pastry diploma. I created this blog to keep track of my journey from complete beginner to world pastry champion (I'm not there yet).
