First experiment – Country biscuits

Total failure.

Country biscuits

After all my excitement due to my great pastry book, I decided to try most recipes in the proposed order.

Quick breads are the easiest things you can make in pastry and “Country biscuits” was the first recipe in that chapter. The results were not encouraging at all! 🙁

Ok, I had no idea what country biscuits were and I had never eaten one, but I was expecting my biscuits to be similar to scones, but they were very hard and not really tasty.

Ok, I’m not going to try country biscuits again… The next recipe is muffins, maybe I’ll have more luck with them!
