Truth is&#8230; <em>I was on holiday<\/em>. As far as I know, there is nothing more chocolatey than a super decadent <strong>chocolate molten lava cake<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The chocolate lava cake is a <strong>simple dessert<\/strong> that is popular in many countries, characterized by its soft, melted core that &#8220;leaks\u00a0out&#8221; after the first spoonful. Even here <strong>in France<\/strong> loooads of restaurant have it and call it &#8220;<strong>moelleux au chocolat<\/strong>&#8220;, a name so sweet-sounding that almost <strong>makes you forget about all the calories<\/strong> it has. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.roadtopastry.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Recipe-Molten-lava-cake-Step08.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5555\" src=\"http:\/\/www.roadtopastry.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Recipe-Molten-lava-cake-Step08.jpg\" alt=\"Recipe-Molten lava cake-Step08\" width=\"800\" height=\"534\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.roadtopastry.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Recipe-Molten-lava-cake-Step08.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.roadtopastry.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Recipe-Molten-lava-cake-Step08-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.roadtopastry.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Recipe-Molten-lava-cake-Step08-600x401.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It is a very traditional, <strong>homey dessert<\/strong>, that I decided to boost with a <strong>delicious salted caramel core<\/strong> (<em>talking about calories<\/em>&#8230;), but basically\u00a0<strong>any ganache-based filling<\/strong> would provide enormous pleasure to your\u00a0taste buds! \ud83d\ude00<\/p>\n<p>No need of any special equipment for this recipe, just mix all the ingredients and bake! Then I leave it up to you how to serve it to your guests: I chose to place the lava cake on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.roadtopastry.com\/blog\/recipes\/creams-custards-sauces\/recipe-vanilla-custard-sauce-creme-anglaise\">vanilla and chocolate custard sauces<\/a> and added some <a href=\"http:\/\/www.roadtopastry.com\/blog\/recipes\/frozen-desserts\/ice-creams\/recipe-coconut-ice-cream\">coconut ice cream<\/a> on top.
