When I think about <strong>American cookies<\/strong>, I have in mind the <strong>Pepperidge Farm<\/strong> ones:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.roadtopastry.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/pepperidge.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-498\" alt=\"Pepperidge farm cookies\" src=\"http:\/\/www.roadtopastry.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/pepperidge.jpg\" width=\"178\" height=\"283\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>which are <strong>thicker<\/strong>, <strong>crunchier<\/strong>&#8230; in short, much better.<\/p>\n<p>The point with biscuits is that they are <strong>sooo rich in butter<\/strong>, that <strong>they melt and spread a lot<\/strong> when they are in the oven!<\/p>\n<p>Only when you make biscuits from scratch, can you <strong>understand why you should start eating something else<\/strong>! \ud83d\ude1b The <strong>percentage of butter in the dough is massive!<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ok, another not so encouraging experiment.
