{"id":2139,"date":"2013-10-11T22:23:49","date_gmt":"2013-10-11T20:23:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.roadtopastry.com\/blog\/?p=2139"},"modified":"2013-10-20T18:41:19","modified_gmt":"2013-10-20T16:41:19","slug":"patisserie-scholler-in-montpellier","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.roadtopastry.com\/blog\/pastry-shops\/patisserie-scholler-in-montpellier","title":{"rendered":"P\u00e2tisserie Scholler in Montpellier"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After one day in <a title=\"P\u00e2tisserie Noailles in N\u00eemes\" href=\"http:\/\/www.roadtopastry.com\/blog\/pastry-shops\/patisserie-noailles-in-nimes\">N\u00eemes<\/a>, I continued my road trip through the <strong>south of France<\/strong> and I stopped in <strong>Montpellier<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.roadtopastry.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/FranceDept_581dab.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2152\" alt=\"Montpellier - Map\" src=\"http:\/\/www.roadtopastry.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/FranceDept_581dab.png\" width=\"400\" height=\"371\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.roadtopastry.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/FranceDept_581dab.png 400w, https:\/\/www.roadtopastry.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/FranceDept_581dab-300x278.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I loved Montpellier: it is <strong>one of the biggest cities in France<\/strong> and it seemed very <strong>dynamic, young and fresh<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Among the many <strong>architectural treasures<\/strong> in Montpellier, the central <strong>Place de la Com\u00e9die<\/strong> is really remarkable and apparently it&#8217;s the <strong>biggest pedestrian square in Europe<\/strong>!<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_2141\" style=\"width: 650px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.roadtopastry.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Scholler-Montpellier09.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2141\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2141\" alt=\"Place de la Com\u00e9die - Montpellier\" src=\"http:\/\/www.roadtopastry.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Scholler-Montpellier09.jpg\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.roadtopastry.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Scholler-Montpellier09.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.roadtopastry.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Scholler-Montpellier09-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-2141\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Place de la Com\u00e9die &#8211; Montpellier<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The whole city centre is pedestrian and it&#8217;s very extended, but to find the pastry shop I was looking for I <strong>had to take my car<\/strong> and go to a calm residential area.<\/p>\n<p>In<strong> avenue de Lod\u00e8ve<\/strong>, I found one of the two <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scholler.fr\/\"><strong>Scholler<\/strong> <\/a>boutiques in town.<\/p>\n<p>Ok, the first impression was <strong>not encouraging<\/strong>. The box was classier than what I was expecting: good cardboard and elegant design (too bad it was made of two bottoms of the same size, which of course didn&#8217;t look very elegant).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.roadtopastry.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Scholler-Montpellier06.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2145\" alt=\"Scholler---Montpellier06\" src=\"http:\/\/www.roadtopastry.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Scholler-Montpellier06.jpg\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.roadtopastry.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Scholler-Montpellier06.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.roadtopastry.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Scholler-Montpellier06-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The breakfast I had chosen was one of my favourite desserts: an \u00e9clair version of the <strong>Paris-Brest<\/strong>. It was all covered with <strong>caramelized hazelnuts<\/strong>, which made it even yummier!
