In particular I&#8217;d like to use some of the <a title=\"Recipe: Pistachio paste\" href=\"http:\/\/www.roadtopastry.com\/blog\/recipes\/creams-custards-sauces\/recipe-pistachio-paste\"><strong>pistachio paste<\/strong><\/a> I recently made to make some pistachio macarons.<br \/>\nIn order to make them, I knew <strong>I needed a green powdered food colouring.<\/strong> So voil\u00e0&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.roadtopastry.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/green-colouring.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2079\" alt=\"green-colouring\" src=\"http:\/\/www.roadtopastry.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/green-colouring.jpg\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.roadtopastry.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/green-colouring.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.roadtopastry.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/green-colouring-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Hey&#8230; wait a second! <strong>It&#8217;s orange!<\/strong> I wanted a green one! :-O<\/p>\n<p>Nah, don&#8217;t worry, it&#8217;s normal: <strong>this colouring is apparently sooo concentrated<\/strong> that it <strong>looks orange<\/strong>, but <strong>it becomes green as soon as it gets in contact with water<\/strong> (I&#8217;ve already tested it, of course!).<\/p>\n<p>Each colouring is identified by the<strong> letter E followed by a three-digit number<\/strong> starting with 1. In particular, this powder is simply made of the <strong>yellow (E102) and blue (E133)<\/strong> colourings.
