Whenever I go a city now, I always check if there is a shop by one of Relais Desserts&#8217; members there.<\/p>\n<p>And even this time, I was not disappointed! <strong>Matyasy<\/strong> started off in La Crau and then settled in <strong>Hy\u00e8res<\/strong>, a few kilometres away from Toulon. Normally, I am willing to pay 5\u20ac for a Sunday treat, but in this case for less than 10\u20ac I got 3 small cakes! \ud83d\ude42 \ud83d\ude42 \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<h3>The tasting<\/h3>\n<p>Ok, it was cheap, but <strong>was it good? Well, yes!<\/strong> \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>The <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.matyasy.com\/chocolatier\/chocolats\/chocolats-noirs\" target=\"_blank\">chocolates <\/a>were delicious:<\/strong> some of them were a bit similar among themselves (you know, the usual combinations of chocolate and hazelnuts\/praline\/etc), but there were some <strong>gems like the Aubade, made with a raspberry-chocolate ganache<\/strong> or the Bergamote, made with an Earl-Grey infused chocolate ganache. \ud83d\ude1b<\/p>\n<p>Then I chose one cake per type: with fruits, all-chocolate, and something more original with fruits AND chocolate! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Car\u00e9membon<\/strong> (a big macaron with a lemon cream and fresh raspberries) was very delicate and with a <strong>perfect balance<\/strong> of tartness and sweetness.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.roadtopastry.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Matyasy-08.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1831\" alt=\"Matyasy - Car\u00e9membon\" src=\"http:\/\/www.roadtopastry.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Matyasy-08.jpg\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.roadtopastry.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Matyasy-08.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.roadtopastry.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Matyasy-08-300x199.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<dl class=\"wp-caption alignnone\" id=\"attachment_1831\" style=\"width: 810px;\">\n<dd class=\"wp-caption-dd\">Matyasy &#8211; Car\u00e9membon<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<p>The Diapason was a &#8220;simple&#8221; pastry with a milk chocolate mousse, and then the crunchiness of a meringue and a praline layer.
