One of the few regrets <\/strong>I had after visiting Paris is that I missed out on the chance to taste something original by<\/strong> Carl Marletti<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"Carl<\/a><\/p>\n

Carl Marletti<\/strong> is the former pastry chef at the Caf\u00e9 de la Paix<\/strong> near the Op\u00e9ra of Paris and has been the owner of his pastry shop since 2007.<\/p>\n

I loved the minimalist and chic design of his shop in the 5th arrondissement, and most of all, I loved the wide range of products<\/strong> he offered: definitely things you don’t find everywhere!<\/p>\n

His Paris-Brest<\/strong> won several prizes<\/strong>, but to eat it in a decent way (without getting it all over me<\/em>) I needed a place to sit and I didn’t have it. I wanted to eat something easily on the street. There were many many many products with interesting flavour combinations<\/strong> and it was so hard to choose something<\/strong>…<\/p>\n

…. that I gave up and just bought an \u00e9clair!<\/strong> A normal \u00e9clair! Can you believe it???<\/p>\n

Don’t get me wrong, it was delicious, looking stunning<\/strong>, and with a salted caramel<\/strong> flavour.
